Brooke Moody

Brooke Moody

JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, TECHNIQUE, COMMERCIAL

Brooke has been dancing since she was 10 years old. She has trained in many genres specializing in jazz, commercial, contemporary, lyrical, ballet and acro. In 2017 Brooke trained in Sydney and graduated from Brent Street with a Diploma of Performing Arts.

Since moving back to New Zealand, she has been involved in a wide range of commercial work including dancing for RAZÉ at the Vodafone Pacific Music Awards, dancing with the Breakers dance team and performing in ‘Duality’ at Q theatre. Brooke is currently dancing professionally with Momentum Productions. She is an extremely passionate teacher and committed to working with groups and individual students to develop their technique, style, confidence and love for dance.


Danielle Timbers

JAZZ, LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY, COMMERCIAL

Dani is a professional dancer currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.  Danielle originally studied dance full time out of Auckland Academy of Dance.  She has trained extensively throughout and extensively in Modern Jazz, RAD Contemporary, RAD ballet, Hip hop, and competed throughout Australia and New Zealand her whole early life.

Since graduation in 2010 she has been busy working as an accomplished dancer working on many high profile jobs such as being a season dancer on X-Factor NZ, featuring on numerous ads, back up dancing for national and international artists and DJ’s, travelling around the country doing corporate events, music videos, and the like. Currently employed by two of the most reputable dance companies here in NZ, Diamond Entertainment and Momentum Productions, plus overseas with Royal Caribbean Cruiselines.

In the last few years Dani has trained under the biggest commercial companies in London, America and New Zealand, being offered multiple elite status contracts. One finalist position and being shortlisted for the Moulin Rouge in Paris.

Katie McKinney

Katie McKinney

BALLET

Katie began her dance training in New Zealand at Patten Academy of Dance in New Plymouth, completing RAD Advanced and NZMDA syllabus in Ballet and Jazz. She went onto full time training at the Australian Ballet school in Melbourne & completed professional development training with a diploma in classical Ballet.

Katie has performed in various ballets at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne state theatre, she was a member of  Black Grace contemporary dance company and toured New Zealand with the company. Katie has danced internationally with Royal Caribbean cruise lines, performing in Broadway shows and aerial shows.

She also holds a bachelor of performance and screen arts majoring in contemporary dance.

With six years teaching experience Katie has been teaching RAD ballet syllabus at Apollo dance theatre & prior to that Ballet & Contemporary at the Dance Studio. She has taught for Timothy Gordon, assisting him for dance intensive workshops.


Louise Callin

ACRO

Louise, originally from the UK started dancing at the age of 3 at her
local dance school. At 16 she went into full time training at Elmhurst
School of Dance gaining a diploma in Jazz Dance and Commercial Theatre
as well as her ISTD Associate teaching qualifications in Modern and Tap.

As well as 18 years teaching experience, Louise also has had a
successful professional performing career, which meant she got to travel
the world and ultimately end up in New Zealand!

Her credits include :

Thursford Christmas Spectacular (Stage), The Mobo Awards (Stage),
Captain America (Film), Judge John Deed (TV), Diamond Entertainment
(Events) and P&O Cruises- MV Arcadia, MV Oriana and MV Aurora
(Stage) as a Dancer, Dancer/Singer and Head Girl.

Moving to New Zealand Louise knew she wanted to continue her passion
for dance and teaching which lead her to set up Louise Emma Academy Of
Dance (LEAOD) on Waiheke Island, which 7 years on is a reputable
training facility known for its high standards. Louise’s pupils competed
through New Zealand and Australia making it to the National Finals in
both. Over this time Louise has also had the opportunity to upskill her
ISTD qualifications and become a qualified Acrobatics Arts teacher, with
hopes to progress into examining in the future.

She is really excited to start a new chapter in Auckland, getting to
work with new studios and dancers and can not wait to part of the ACSA
team!

Molly Griffiths

MUSICAL THEATRE/PRESCHOOL CLASS

Molly started dancing at four years old, where her love for the performing arts started.  After competing competitively in America and Australia with dance, she now teaches Musical Theatre, Tap and Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet at various dance schools around Auckland.

Recently Molly performed as Annie/Ensemble in G and T’s production of ‘Mary Poppins’ at the Civic Theatre, and is currently choreographing ‘Grease’ at Harlequin Musical Theatre in early 2021.  Her theatre credits also include directing and choreographing an original work ‘Alice’ with her brother at Harlequin Music Theatre, Expect the Unexpected 2.0 cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera, Audrey in Little Shop Of Horrors and Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables at Saint Kentigern College. As well as this, Molly chairs the youth committee at Harlequin Musical Theatre in East Auckland.

Molly is in her last year of study towards her Event Management and Marketing degree at AUT.

Rayner Clarke

Christelle Ridon

HIP HOP

Christelle has been dancing since she was three years old. She started
off with ballet and eventually got into HipHop and Jazz. Once she was
fourteen Christelle represented NZ in the world HipHop championships
held in Phoenix Arizona. Since then she has joined Momentum Pro
development program, Street Candee Mentorship program and NZXNEXT
program. All of which have given her many opportunities in the
commercial dance industry. Opportunities like featuring in many Music
videos for NZ artists, Photoshoots for clothing companies and fitness
brands, also live backup dancing for NZ artists and in the breakers
dance crew. Christelle’s dream job would be to do a world tour with an
international well established artist.

Emma Hardistry

Emma Hardistry

DANCE PILATES

Emma Hardisty is a BSc Hons Physiotherapist and Master Pilates instructor from the UK. She began her career as a professional dance and choregrapher at the age of 16 before completing her honours degree in Physiotherapy in 1996.

She began doing Pilates to manage her own back injuries and was so impressed with the results she became a qualified Body Control Pilates Mat instructor in 2001. She moved to NZ in 2005 with her husband and completed her studio qualifications.

Emma has a real passion for how Pilates and Physiotherapy combined can give optimal rehab results across all walked of life, but espcially to dances for enhanced technique, improved flexibility and control, ease of movement and injury prevention.


Tyla Maud

Tyla Maud

JAZZ, LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY

Tyla Maud has been dancing since she was very young and trained in a vast number of genres such as jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and more. She has competed in competitions in New Zealand, Gold Coast Australia and LA,  and won various awards in her solos and groups.

Tyla has had the opportunity to learn from some world renowned choreographers on her trips overseas. Her professional work includes back up dancing for Jono & Ben and various other media works productions. Her passion for dance and years of training is shared when teaching the young talent.


Deb Maud

ACROBATIC ARTS

Deb was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years, representing at the national level. Continuing her passion for gymnastics she continued coaching and judging. After her daughters started dancing she turned her focus to acro dance and recently qualified as an Acrobatic Arts Module One Teacher.


Lauryn Pearce

JUNIOR ASSOCIATE

Lauryn has been training with Auckland City School of the Arts for 8 years. Lauryn's pasion for dance grows every year.  She is trained in jazz, lyrical, commercial, ballet and contemporary and is currently a development dancer with Momentum Productions.

Lauryn has taken classes internationally at Showstoppers, the Edge, the Millennium and at Abby Lee Dance Company in Los Angeles, Intrigue dance in Pittsburgh and Jo Reed in Canada as well as attended intensives at Brent Street, Sydney.  She has competed at the highest level in National finals at Showcase and Get the Beat (Australia) and Showstoppers (Anaheim, USA) and has been a back up dancer for TV shows such as Jono and Ben and Christmas in the Park annually.
