Our team of teachers (some ex-ASCA graduates) are all highly qualified, internationally experienced and offer a wealth of knowledge across various dancing genres.

Brooke Moody

Brooke Moody


Brooke has been dancing since she was 10 years old. She has trained in many genres specializing in jazz, commercial, contemporary, lyrical, ballet and acro. In 2017 Brooke trained in Sydney and graduated from Brent Street with a Diploma of Performing Arts.

Since moving back to New Zealand, she has been involved in a wide range of commercial work including dancing for RAZÉ at the Vodafone Pacific Music Awards, dancing with the Breakers dance team and performing in ‘Duality’ at Q theatre. Brooke is currently dancing professionally with Momentum Productions. She is an extremely passionate teacher and committed to working with groups and individual students to develop their technique, style, confidence and love for dance.

Holly Finch


Holly’s love of dance is centred around her passion for music and storytelling. From a young age she trained in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, furthering her training at Ettingshausens full-time programme in Sydney, which introduced her to hip hop and street styles. Following this, Holly was awarded a scholarship to Broadway Dance Centre in New York City, where she studied for three months.

Some of Holly’s recent credits include ‘Lorde’ music video ‘Solar Power’, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ TV show, ‘Razé’ performance at the Pacific Music Awards, and ‘Splore Festival’ with Dance Plant Collective. She has worked extensively with Momentum Productions under directors Kayla Paige and Andrew Cesan, featuring in theatre shows ‘Duality’, ‘Soundscape’ and ‘Autonomy’.

Abroad Holly was a dancer in Jillian Myers’ showing of ‘Questions and Answers’ in Tokyo Japan, which was a career highlight. She has also completed a dance contract with Celebrity X Cruises, onboard cruise ship the ‘Millennium’.

Holly’s love for creating has led her to many choreographic opportunities. Some of her Choreography credits include ‘Tempo Dance Festival’, ‘Taking Dance to the People’ by Dance Aotearoa NZ, and ‘The Blank Kanvas’ event. 

Holly is also passionate about teaching; guiding students to build technical foundation while fostering their creativity and artistic voice.

Katie McKinney

Thomas Harris


Freshly home from Australia, Thomas has worked closely with the Queensland Ballet and Sydney City Ballet companies, appearing in a number of their professional performance seasons, such as the Queensland Ballet "60th Anniversary Gala" season, and the 2021 season of "Bespoke", also with Queensland Ballet. With the Sydney City Ballet, were Thomas was fortunate enough to perform in both their Sydney season and regional tour season of "The Nutcracker" in Port Macquarie.

In addition to these, Thomas has also gained valuable experience by performing with with a number of other professional organisations, such as Brisbane Festival (which he also choreographed a new work for), Queensland Youth Orchestra, and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. 

As a part of his training, he performed roles in several Queensland Ballet Academy performances, such as "Imperial Waltz" where he was fortunate enough to work with choreographer and former QB Director, Francois Klaus, and in performances of "Matador Suite" and "Intimate Dialogues". 

Throughout these experiences, Thomas had the valuable opportunity to work with many leading choreographers and coaches, including; Li Cunxin, Wim Broeckx, Greg Horsman, Christian Tatchev, Natalie Weir, Paul Boyd, Lucinda Dunn, and Danilo Radojevic.

Rayner Clarke

Chance Ruby


Chance is a outgoing dancer who has newly found her way into the choreography scene. She started off her journey in Hamilton, becoming proficient in Hiphop, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, and Musical Theatre. She then found her way to Auckland to be a part of Identity Dance Company, in the world renowned crews Yung ID and Masque, receiving a Bronze Medal at the Hiphop World Championship. Chance has also had training with NZX, and is involved in dance work with Momentum Productions and Kpop artist work with Kiel Tutin.

Chance has choreographed for crews at Neverland Dance studio (Frenzy & Midas) and is currently a teacher and choreographer for Identity Dance Crews I2D and Junior ID. 

Chance is passionate about sharing with her students. She loves to watch them progress and upskill, and will push uniqueness and individuality within her students.

Tyla Maud

Tyla Maud


Tyla Maud has been dancing since she was very young and trained in a vast number of genres such as jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and more. She has competed in competitions in New Zealand, Gold Coast Australia and LA,  and won various awards in her solos and groups.

Tyla has had the opportunity to learn from some world renowned choreographers on her trips overseas. Her professional work includes back up dancing for Jono & Ben and various other media works productions. Her passion for dance and years of training is shared when teaching the young talent.

Deb Maud

Deb Maud


Deb was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years, representing at the national level. Continuing her passion for gymnastics she continued coaching and judging. After her daughters started dancing she turned her focus to acro dance and recently qualified as an Acrobatic Arts Module One Teacher.

Lauryn Pearce

Lauryn Pearce


Lauryn has been training with Auckland City School of the Arts for 9 years. Lauryn's passion for dance grows every year.  She is trained in jazz, lyrical, commercial, ballet and contemporary and is currently a development dancer with Momentum Productions.

Lauryn has taken classes internationally at Showstoppers, the Edge, the Millennium and at Abby Lee Dance Company in Los Angeles, Intrigue dance in Pittsburgh and Jo Reed in Canada as well as attended intensives at Brent Street, Sydney.  She has competed at the highest level in National finals at Showcase and Get the Beat (Australia) and Showstoppers (Anaheim, USA) and has been a back up dancer for TV shows such as Jono and Ben and Christmas in the Park annually.
